On August 18, we gathered for our family reunion in Albion, Idaho at
Campus Grove. We had a grand time! We stayed in Miller Hall, once a student dormitory, which has been beautifully restored into a facility perfectly suited for family reunions. It has oodles of bathrooms, 16 bedrooms, a very functional kitchen, a giant dining room and a comfortable multipurpose room.
On the first night, dinner included a watermelon sculpture courtesy of Pat and Maddy.
After dinner, it was time for a little (?) soccer and family time out on the huge lawn.
The children took to the stage and presented cub scout skits. They were hilarious! Our favorite was about a dead fly that ended up having wings, legs, and head removed by various people passing by. The final person, Matthew, thought it looked like a raisin and picked it up and ate it. What a bunch of hams!
There's more to come. Stay tuned!
